The Yadunandan Center for India Studies is proud to present a lecture by Pavithra Prasad:
“Lemuria to Wakanda: Speculative Cartography from the Deep”
Professor Prasad’s talk will explore how speculative non-fiction can help us recognize and disrupt the colorism and anti-blackness underpinning the growth of populist movements in the United States and in South Asia.
Pavithra Prasad is Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at California State University, Northridge. She holds a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Northwestern University, and works as both an artist and scholar.
