A conversation with sociologist Lisa Wade about sex and dating on college campuses

Sociologist Dr. Lisa Wade (Occidental College) will be coming to campus for a conversation about her new book, American Hookup: The New Culture of Sex on Campus. This book, based on Dr. Wade’s extensive interviews with college students across the country, examines the changing mores around sex, emotional health, consent and other issues confronting young people trying to navigate the contemporary landscape of sex and dating. It is a timely project, especially in an era of heightened awareness around issues of sexual harassment, assault and consent. Dr. Wade will be in conversation with Dr. Oliver Wang of the Sociology Department at CSULB.
