Anthropologist Guest Speaker on Social Media and Military Occupation
On April 28, the Department of History will have the honor of hosting a talk by Duke University anthropologist, Dr. Rebecca Stein, who will speak on the topic of Social Media and Military Occupation in Israel/Palestine. The event will be held in HSCI (Hall of Science) in room 105 at 3:30 p.m.
Dr. Rebecca Stein is a cultural anthropologist at Duke University whose work is primarily focused in Israeli-Palestinian conflict issues. Most recently, her research has led her to study Israeli cultural politics in relation to the uses of digital technology with the Israeli military occupation of Palestinian territories.
