Ms. Retha Evans (Psychology ’97) started a business known as Professional Development Courses (www.pdcourses.net) in 1998. The mission of her company is to provide courses for the advancement of public school teachers that will bring the educators up to date in topic areas of current importance and provide them with the materials they can put to immediate use in the classroom. Evans’s company, working in partnership with the University of LaVerne, enables students to receive graduate credit upon completion of courses within PD Courses.

Evans has worked and consulted with a number of faculty members at CSULB who contribute courses to her company. Evans resides in North County San Diego.

 

 

Ken Gronbach

Ken Gronbach

Mr. Ken Gronbach (Speech Communication ’70) is an expert demographer, futurist and generational marketer. Gronbach has founded 2 advertising agencies in his lifetime. The first was KGA Advertising, which opened in 1979 and was a proven success for the 22 years it was in business. At its height, Gronbach had more than 40 employees and represented clients such as Bob’s Stores and Pilot Pen. His current agency is KGC Direct, which focuses on the field of demography and generational marketing. Gronbach also provides counsel to both large and small businesses across the U.S.Prior to forming KGA, Gronbach was Western Region Advertising coordinator for Volkswagen of America, Inc. and Advertising Manager at Bob’s Stores, Inc. Gronbach is the author of many published articles and a book entitled “Common Census: The Counter-Intuitive Guide to Generational Marketing.”
