Early Start Writing (ESW)
ESW 1 is a week-long summer course offered to newly-admitted CSU students.
The ESW 1 course serves as an introduction to the university. Students will begin to develop college-level literacy skills and habits of mind.

ESW 1 is a one-unit, college-level course. Classes are approximately three (3) hours long and meet Monday-Friday for one week. For course options, explore the Summer 2022 Schedule of Classes.
