Professor Beltrán received her B.A. in History from UC San Diego in Fall 2015 and recently completed the History M.A. at CSU Long Beach in Fall 2019. She now lectures in our History Department at CSU Long Beach. Beltrán also runs the @csulbhistorymemes Instagram account where she posts history memes made by her lower-division history students.

Research Interests:

Beltrán’s research focuses on 20th century urban United States history. She highlights subcultural actors and social movements in her work, particularly 1980s punk rockers in Los Ángeles working in solidarity with the transnational Central America Movement.
