International Studies Student Association (ISSA)

The International Studies Student Association (ISSA) is a group of students from the International Studies Program, as well as other liberal arts departments, who have an interest in international affairs, and careers with regard to the international community. ISSA coordinates guest speakers, lecturers, and social events throughout the academic year to allow students to explore various aspects of the international studies field and engage with other students.

The International Studies Student Association is looking for the next board member as the Financial Chair for Spring 2023 semester!

Officer Eligibility
All Officers must continue to meet the following Officer Eligibility requirements (csulb.edu/regs):
* Have a 2.5 Cumulative GPA,
* Have a 2.5 Term GPA for Fall 2022,
* Be a matriculated student who is enrolled in at least 6 units as an undergraduate or 3 units as a graduate student, not through College of Professional and International Education (CPIE)
* Undergraduate Officers may not have earned more than 150 units, while Graduate/Masters Officers may not have earned more than 50 units, and 
* Be in good standing and not be on probation of any kind.
 
Duties of the Financial Chair
      The Financial Chair shall handle all financial affairs and budgeting of the organization, maintaining all necessary accounting records. Said records shall be maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. He/She shall maintain bank accounts in the organization’s name, requiring signatures of at least one fiscally certified Executive Co-Chair for authorized disbursements. Disbursements in excess of $50 require the majority approval of the organization, to be obtained at a regular meeting via roll call vote of the board members after any necessary deliberation.
