Elita Adjei
Elita Adjei is the Vice President of Corporate Communications for National Geographic Content. She was previously the director of media relations and digital programs for Kaiser Permanente. She is a seasoned corporate communications/PR executive who has worked in healthcare, sports, entertainment, higher education, energy, petrochemical refining and utilities. She has a solid track record of creating integrated communication campaigns and strategies that capture the narrative and business objective of global companies. She’s worked closely with C-suite executives, national sales teams and subject-matter experts while managing external PR and media-buying agencies.
Before entering the media relations industry, Adjei built a career as a successful TV talent producer/booker. She booked and managed professional athletes for appearances on the two-time Sports Emmy award-winning series “Sports Science,”which aired on Fox Sports Net and, later, ESPN. She also secured A-list athletes for the Fox Sports News program “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.”
Adjei holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s degree in health and risk communications from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.
