John Canalis

John Canalis is the executive editor of Los Angeles Times Community News, which produces TimesOC, the Daily Pilot, the La Canada Valley Sun, the Burbank Leader and the Glendale News Press.

Canalis previously worked in reporting and editing roles at the Long Beach Press-Telegram, the Orange County Register and The Times. He also teaches college journalism classes in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Canalis holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach and a master’s in business administration from Pepperdine University.
