Carol Perruso

Carol Perruso is the Journalism & Public Relations librarian and a former journalist. Before becoming a librarian at CSULB, Perruso worked in both print and online journalism for 27 years. She spent 20 years at the Los Angeles Times, as news editor and assistant editor for the San Diego edition and later as president of LATimes.com. She also taught journalism at the University of Maryland, USC, and CSULB.

Her scholarly research focuses on assessment and the research behavior of undergraduates, as well as identifying the core journals in various disciplines.
