Request an Appointment: a linguistics tutor will email you to arrange a Zoom meeting.

What to Expect

• Tutoring appointments are 30 minutes, but a tutor may offer to assist you for longer at their discretion.
• Your tutor will work with you to find where you need assistance and provide help according to your learning style.
• If you are not getting the help you need, say something! Tutors are always happy to try a different approach.
• It is helpful if you are prepared to describe your learning situation to the tutor. Which concepts are slowing down your learning?
• Try to bring materials such as lecture notes and the course syllabus — come prepared and make the most of your tutoring session.
• Remember that tutors do not have answer keys and will not provide answers to homework questions — you are ultimately responsible for your own learning.
