‘Anarchy and capital’

Abstract: Anarchists argue that we should eliminate the political state and create anarchist societies. However, among anarchists there is disagreement as to what kind of social arrangement would best suit our needs. Anarcho-capitalists argue that we should embrace a capitalist conception of anarchism. To defend this view, Michael Huemer argues that a capitalist arrangement is the most appropriate social arrangement when considering human nature. I argue that Huemer is wrong. Because of our nature, a capitalist social arrangement without a state would either devolve into disorder or regress back into statism.
