HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP

Thursday, September 3, 2:00 – 3:00 pm via Zoom

As many students are beginning their virtual internships or are thinking about how to do an internship next semester, we wanted to give them an opportunity to hear from a student who has completed a virtual internship, an internship supervisor who has overseen virtual interns, and an internship faculty member who taught the class online.  The folks who are on the panel were involved in various ways with a successful pivot from in-person to virtual internships this past spring in connection with the City of Long Beach’s census effort.  Students will also have the opportunity to ask their own questions so they will feel more prepared for their virtual internships.  Since the census is such an important effort for our local community, the panelists will also share their thoughts on the social impact of their work, which I think will be inspiring to many.
