The Political Science Department currently is offering three scholarships to Political Science majors. Please complete the application found on Beach Scholarships. Criteria for each scholarship varies below.

Benjamin R. Stockton Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is for Junior or Senior continuing students majoring in Political Science. There is no specific GPA requirement but student must be in good academic standing. Awardees must have demonstrated financial need. Applicants must have a desire to use the unique skills and knowledge they are developing to contribute to the public good after graduation.

  • Important: Awardee is expected to attend the awards reception
  • Deadline: 3/13/2023
  • Award: Varies, up to $4,500

Robert L. Delorme Scholarship

The Delorme Scholarship is awarded to juniors and seniors majoring in Political Science. Junior or Senior with a least one semester remaining. This scholarship is based on scholastic achievement, minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

  • Important: Awardee is expected to attend the awards reception
  • Deadline: 3/13/2023
  • Award: Varies, up to $1,000

The Edwin Roberts Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to juniors and seniors majoring in Political Science. Junior or Senior with a least one semester remaining. This scholarship is based on scholastic achievement, minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

POSC FirstGen Endowed Internship Award

This scholarship is awarded to Political Science majors, minors, or graduate students. Junior or above.  May be full-time or part-time.   Must be in good academic standing.  Must undertake an internship and enroll in an internship course as a condition of the award.

Political Science Scholarship

This is for Political Science majors (including all academic plans for undergraduates and graduates). Must be a continuing student, junior or senior standing. This scholarship is based on scholastic achievement, minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
