Washington Mentoring Program

The Washington Mentoring Program

The Washington Mentoring Program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in a governmental agency or non-governmental organization in the Washington D.C. area. The purpose of the program is to help prepare qualified current students for positions and careers in national public policy by fostering dialogue with persons who have successfully selected such a career. A number of CSULB Political Science Alumni have graciously expressed a willingness to help orient current students about the opportunities and limitations of public policy service. Each current student selected to participate in the Program will be put in contact with one of these Alumni.

Participation in the Program is limited. Preference will be given to upper-division Political Science majors and to those who have taken at least one public policy course offered by the CSULB Political Science Department. A GPA of 3.00 is required.
