My research interests are aviation human factors and medical human factors with an emphasis on workload, performance, situation awareness, and trust in automation. I love to bake, cook, read, hike, watch movies, learn from others, and connecting people together.

Hi, my name is Christian Schmitz (she/her) and I am a 2nd year graduate student in the Human Factors program. I am currently pursuing my research interests as an intern in the Human Autonomy Teaming (HAT) lab at NASA Ames where we research human system integration. At CSULB, I am involved in research regarding human performance and cognition. In my free time I enjoy roller skating, everything crafts, and petting strangers’ dogs.

Hi everyone, my name is Caleb Calomarde, I am 21 and a first-year Master’s student in the Psychology HF program! My research interests vary, from the medical, aerospace and automotive fields. When I finish this program I am hoping to find a job in industry as either a HF engineer or UX Researcher. In my free time, I love rock climbing, reading, cooking, or just laying in bed and watching a good show. Look forward to working with you all!

Hi all! My name is Dante Kruise and I am a first-year graduate student in the MS Human Factors program here at Cal State Long Beach. I received my BA in Psychology from UC Riverside and my AA in Psychology from Mt. SAC.  My research interests include virtual reality, simulation, user experience and design. In my free time, I enjoy games of all kinds, including  video games, tabletop, and card games. I am also an avid hiker and love a good long trail especially with my hiking buddy, my schnauzer Bentley. . Additionally I enjoy art as well as horror movies and trying new places to eat around Long Beach.

Hi there, I’m Maegan (she/her). I am a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This fall I will begin applying for Human Factors graduate programs and hope to get into California State University, Long Beach Master of Science, Option in Human Factors program. For now, I am a PRO Guide at the Psychology Resource Office, a research assistant in the Miles Lab, and a Supplemental Instruction Leader at the Learning Center. I have a Siamese cat named Rio, love anything creative, and sell my art at many local art walks in Long Beach.
