Requirements
This program requires 45 units. Take 7 core courses and 8 WGSS electives in consultation with your advisor.
Core
Take all of the following courses:
- WGSS 101 Gender, Race, Sex, and the Body (3)
Prerequisite/Corequisite: One GE Foundation course. - WGSS 102 Gender, Race, Sex, and Society (3)
Prerequisite/Corequisite: One GE Foundation course. - WGSS 300 Feminist Principles (3)
Prerequisites: ENGL 100 or GE Composition (Area A1) and upper division standing or consent of instructor. - WGSS 301 Feminist Research Methods (3)
Prerequisites: Upper division standing and the completion of at least one other WGSS course. - WGSS 415 Feminist Debates (3)
Prerequisites: WGSS 300 or consent of instructor. - WGSS 495 Senior Capstone Seminar (3)
Prerequisite: WGSS 301. - WGSS 496 Feminist Community Praxis (3)
Prerequisite: Upper division standing and two prior WGSS courses, or consent of instructor.
At least 18 of the elective units must be taken from the following list: WGSS 205, 216, 307, 308, 314, 315, 316, 318, 356, 365, 370, 375, 401, 410, 416, 420, 424, 425, 430, 432, 442, 445A, 445B, 490, or 499.
Note: Students must earn a grade of at least “C” in all upper division major courses.
