Dr. Raphael Sonenshein: Assessing the 2020 Election
December 9 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
The CSULB Jewish Studies Program is again very pleased to welcome back to Long Beach, Dr. Raphael Sonenshein, our favorite “political therapist.” He will speak via Zoom Webinar on Wednesday, December 9th, at 7:30 pm. In his talk, he will review United States politics with particular attention to the recent presidential election campaign.
Dr. Sonenshein is a professor of political science and the Executive Director of the Edmund G. “Pat” Brown Institute of Public Affairs at California State University, Los Angeles. An expert in Los Angeles politics, and the author of two books on the subject, Dr. Sonenshein’s views are regularly quoted by the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Orange County Register, and Reuters. He also writes a column on local and national politics for the Jewish Journal.
He is one of the most popular speakers we host, and he is able to talk about some of the most heated issues of the day in a way that not only contains much that is insightful, but also with a fair degree of humor.
