International Mother Language Day

On behalf of the Linguistics Student Association, we would like to invite you to our annual celebration of International Mother Language Day. Created by UNESCO in 1999, IMLD is an annual event to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. After several years on Zoom, we are pleased to again celebrate IMLD on campus.
The event will occur next Tuesday, February 21, from 10-3 in the Speaker’s Platform area. There will be a variety of tables featuring language-related games, activities and information, as well as representatives from language programs and clubs. I encourage you to stop by and share your own linguistic background!
