The Department of Africana Studies welcomes Benjamin T. Jealous, NAACP President and CEO, as the inaugural lecturer for Black History Month 2012.

Jealous formerly served as the following: President of the Rosenberg Foundation, Director of Amnesty International’s U.S. Human Rights Program, Executive Director of National Newspapers Publishers Association, and Managing Editor of The Jackson Advocate.
