Guest Lecture by Dr. Steven Luper: "Retroactive Harm"

The Philosophy Department’s Center for Applied Ethics is pleased to announce a guest lecture by Dr. Steven Luper: “Retroactive Harm”

Dr. Luper received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and is the author of The Philosophy of Death (Cambridge, 2009). He is an established figure in ethics and bioethics, and he has also written on various topics in the theories of epistemology and existentialism. This paper will primarily examine whether a person can be harmed by events that occur after their death.
