Guest Lecture: Dr. Lixin Xu's "K-12 Education in China — Successes and Challenges"

Dr. Lixin Xu is an Associate Professor in the School of Teacher Education at Nanjing Normal University, China. She is a visiting scholar in CSULB’s Department of Teacher Education.

China has achieved tremendous success in K-12 Education in the past 30 years. The number of students receiving nine-year compulsory education, as well as the number of high school graduates enrolled in higher institutions in China and abroad, has increased rapidly; however, various problems still exist and require more time and effort to resolve.
