November 28, 2011

The CSULB Jewish Studies Program will host its last guest speaker for the fall 2011 semester on Monday, November 28th, at 7:30 PM, at the Alpert Jewish Community Center.  Refreshments will be served at 7: 15 PM. Nationally syndicated and recognized political columnist Harold Meyerson will share his insights on the upcoming 2012 presidential and congressional elections.

Meyerson is the editor-at-large of The American Prospect and has been a weekly columnist for The Washington Post since 2003.  He also served as executive editor of the L.A. Weekly from 1989 to 2001, and he continues to write about California politics for The Los Angeles Times.  In September 2009, The Atlantic named Meyerson one of fifty “Most Influential Columnists”. The Atlantic Top 50 are the most influential commentators in the nation: the columnists, bloggers, and broadcast pundits who shape the national debates.
