Karen TongsonDr. Karen Tongson is an associate professor of English, Gender & Sexuality Studies, and American Studies & Ethnicity at the University of Southern California. She is author of the new Why Karen Carpenter Matters (2019) and previously authored Relocations: Queer Suburban Imaginaries (2011). Her cultural commentary has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and other publications, and she co-hosts the podcast, Waiting to X-hale.
