No Doubt: The Murder(s) of Oscar Grant and numerous essays on police violence and Black social movementsPlease join us for a discussion with Thandisizwe Chimurenga, the author of No Doubt: The Murder(s) of Oscar Grant and numerous essays on police violence and Black social movements.

No Doubt presents the 2009 murder(s) of 22-year-old Oscar Grant by a BART police officer, the media, and the courts thereafter.  Chimurenga shows the ways in which racism and white supremacy infect the U.S. criminal justice system, media, and society.

The discussion with Chimurenga will cover her work in the context of the current police terror that affects Black and Brown communities throughout the U.S.  This timely conversation will highlight the ongoing struggles to resist, organize, and mobilize against the premature death of our loved ones through state-sanctioned violence emerging from policing, incarceration, and deportations.
