Psychology: 5th John Garcia Recognition of Excellence Lecture

The Department of Psychology will be hosting its fifth John Garcia Recognition of Excellence Lecture on Tuesday, February 9, 2011, 3:30-4:45 in Psych 150 (the Towner Auditorium). A reception will follow.

The Speaker is Dr. Cynthia Rand, an alumna of the CSULB Master of Arts in Psychology program from the 1970s. She is currently a Professor at Johns Hopkins University in the Departments of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, with joint appointments in Psychiatry and Public Health. She will be lecturing on patient adherence to treatment plans in view of chronic illness, health care disparities, and health reform.
