"Watching Party" for the launch of the Campaign for the Future of Higher Education

May 16, 2011

The National Campaign for Higher Education is being launched as a
nationwide effort to:

  • To guarantee that affordable quality higher education is accessible to all sectors of our society in the coming decades, and
  • To include the voices of the faculty, students and our communities-not just administrators, politicians, foundations and think tanks-in the process of making change to ensure that the emphasis, curriculum, pricing, and structure of our nation’s higher education systems are good for our students and the quality of education they receive

The launch will be at National Press Club in Washington D.C. on Tuesday May 17th at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.  This web streamed press conference will be viewed at “Watching Parties” by faculty, students, and other allies of education in many states.  A 20-minute standard press conference will be followed by an opportunity for faculty and students not in Washington to submit questions.
