KEYNOTE SPEAKER
DR. CAITLIN FOURATT

Dr. Fouratt is an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the Department of International Studies at CSULB

For World Anthropology Day, Dr. Fouratt discuss the precarious legal status, lived experiences of undocumented immigrants, and the rising antiimmigrant sentiment that drives current issues surrounding DACA and undocumented students in California and at CSULB. Over the past year, Dr. Fouratt has worked closely with undocumented students on campus to understand the challenges they face, the impact of DACA, and the devastating consequences of the recent decision to rescind the DACA program.

COLECTIVO VIDA DIGNA DELEGATION

Lauren Heidbrink, cultural anthropologist and Assistant Professor in the Human Development department, helped to bring Colectivo Vida Digna in Guatemala to our campus. The delegation will present their work with indigenous youth returning to Guatemala from the U.S. and Mexico as well as their collaborative research with Dr. Heidbrink.
