Learning Community

Welcome to the Beach! CSULB Project Resilience offers a comprehensive student support program for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and low-income students transitioning from high school to foster a transformational university experience.

The Learning Community allows you to connect with other incoming first-year students! We are now taking applications from students interested in being a part of the learning community for the academic year of Fall 2023-Spring 2024! If you’re interested, please sign up by clicking here!

What does this mean? 

The Project Resilience learning community is designed to strengthen Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) identity exploration and understanding and will offer the following:

  • First-year students can enroll in two required General Education classes together (fulfills A2 and F requirement)
  • Opportunities to build friendships and attend campus events with free food
  • Specialized support and guidance from Project Resilience staff and peer mentors.
  • Academic advising with ATLAS, our College of Liberal Arts Advising Center.
