Michelle Seales is the coordinator of the Chicano and Latino Studies Department. She holds a B.A. in Art History and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Linguistics, with an emphasis in Cultural Linguistics and TESOL. She also served as coordinator in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies, and for the American Indian Studies Program.
Having spent her formative years in Havana, Cuba, she loves to read about socio-political topics and how they relate to language. She speaks Spanish with native fluency and loves to study other languages as well. Working for the Ethnic Studies, collaborating with students and faculty, has been an enriching experience for her.
Traveling and dancing Flamenco are among her favorite stress relievers.
