What are your Research interests?
I explore the role of emotion in communication during interpersonal interactions. I’m interested in both the bright and dark side of relationships.
What are your Teaching interests?
Because my area of expertise is relational communication, I enjoy teaching classes that emphasize those aspects. I focus on the theory and skills needed to make connections, whether in the workplace or with loved ones.

How do you serve the department and the university and the community?
I am currently the Director of the COMM Tutoring Center (located in AS-351), which provides free COMM course-specific tutoring to undergraduate students enrolled in COMM classes. Additionally, I am a Certified Employment Interview Coach, assisting both applicants in landing jobs and employers in effectively identifying top talent.
