interACT Performance Troupe

interACT Welcome PageinterACT is a nationally recognized social justice performance troupe based out of California State University, Long Beach. Since it began in 2000, the troupe has reached tens of thousands of audience members through its “proactive” (highest level of audience involvement) shows. During performances audience members are literally invited on stage to become active participants, rather than passive observers. The performances allow audience members a space to rehearse assertive communication strategies and safely and creatively intervene to prevent violence.

Our programs have been proven effective in multiple quantitative, qualitative, and longitudinal published studies. We have performed on college campuses throughout the United States, military bases worldwide, and as keynote presenters at conferences.  For more information about interACT, please contact: marc.rich@csulb.edu

interACT was electrifying. I had chills the whole time and I could tell students were equally riveted. The fact that audience members are allowed to discuss and come to their own conclusions made this dynamic presentation highly engaging and effective. I would recommend to any campus!” – Manijeh Badiee, Ph.D. Department of Psychology, California State University San Bernandino
