Angie Evans is co-owner of the “speciality coffee and seasonal food cafe,” Wide Eyes Open Palms, on Cherry and 4th in Long Beach.

Derynne Fuhrer has been accepted to the counseling program at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Brianna Plummer is working on her MA in education in San Francsico.

Jessica Ross was the Internship Coordinator at Girls, Inc. of Orange County. She is now in a Master of Public Health program at UC Berkeley. 

Fatima Chavez is the Community Organizer for Planned Parenthood Oxnard.

Jamilet Ochoa is a Community Organizer for the Long Beach Immigrant Rights Coalition.

Marlene Montanez is the Senior Community Organizer for the Long Beach Coalition for Good Jobs and a Healthy Community (LAANE), where she works to improve working conditions for hotel workers.

Amber Melvin is the Health Services Specialist at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.

Lori Carroll is owner of Jan’s Paperbacks bookstore in Beaverton, OR.

Nancy Rodriguez is in the MSW program at USC.

Kanan Cupp received an MSW from CSULB. Works at a psychiatric hospital. Currently obtaining an LCSW in CA>

Mara Fox worked at The Neighborhood Legal Services Self-Help Center interviewing victims of domestic violence and providing resources. She is now in law school.

Bree Flory is the Check Yourself Program Manager at The Keep a Breast Foundation.

Alisha Herrick is working in Executive Leadership Development at Lyft in San Francisco.

Iliana Huacuja is the Transfer Course Coordinator at University of California, Irvine.

Joanna Sanchez-Avila is earning her PhD in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English at The University of Arizona.

Liz Zepeda studied Information Resources & Library Science at The University of Arizona and is currently the Liaison Librarian for Ethnic, Culture, and Gender Studies at CSU-Monterey Bay.

Roxanna Menendez is the Residential Teaching Counselor at Girls Leadership.

Hillary Hassani is working for Victims Assistance Sanctuary with Volunteers of America Los Angeles supporting individuals who have experienced sex and/or labor trafficking. She is also in the MPA PPA-Urban Affairs program at CSULB.

Catherine Ruiz earned an MA in Sociology and is currently working on a PhD in Psychology through Northcentral University. She also works for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in Child Protection Services.

Abeni Moreno is author of the children’s book, Dear Big Brother, and a co-host on Conscious Radio.

Alex Karaman is earning a PhD in Gender and Women’s Studies at The University of Arizona.

Elizabeth Juarez is an Assistant Teacher at Children’s Learning Place.

Jeannette Mora is a social worker in the County of Orange.

Vanessa Jacuinde is a Program Manager at COPE Health Solutions.

Megan Adams completed an MA in American Culture Studies at Bowling Green State University and is currently Director of the Women’s Resource Center at California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Sasha Morales is the Teen Program Manager at Girls Inc. of Orange County and is pursuing a MA in Public Health and Community Education at CSULB.

Rhianna Maras completed a MA in Women’s Studies at SDSU and is currently the Program Manager for the Young People’s, Environments, Society and Space (YESS) Research Center at San Diego State University Research Foundation and also a lecturer in the Women’s Studies Department at SDSU.

Dagan VanDenmark co-founded T-FEED: Trans Folx Fighting Eating Disorders and is currently studying law at Georgetown University Law Center.

Savanna Cavalletto is working at a family law firm as an administrative assistant.

Ashleigh Klein Jimenez is a Project Manager with the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault, managing a national prevention project called PreventConnect. She is also a Program Coordinator with the Sacramento Council of Girls on the Run and is an aspiring farmer. She also earned a MPA from CSULB.

Jes Reyes graduated with a double major in WGSS and Film and Electronic Arts. She earned an MA in Liberal Studies from the University of Minnesota with focus areas in feminist theory, creative writing, and film studies. She is now a practicing artist and arts administrator in St. Paul, MN. www.jesreyes.com

Julie Graydon will be earning her MPA/PPA with an emphasis in Urban Affairs in 2020 from CSULB. She is currently working in commercial property management/residential real estate sales.

Jaclyn Marie worked with children with learning differences for a few years after graduation. She then went on to get a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a LMFT.

Emily Cota is getting her MA in Italian Studies and did translation for the criminal justice and psychology departments in Italy. She is now planning to get another MA and eventually PhD in Psychology to work with women and children who have been in immigrant detention centers.

Jolene Sagan completed a MPA and an MSW. She is now a LCSW and is working in the Dan of Student’s Office at CSULB.

Allison Munder is the Digital Marketing Director for an internship abroad company in Seal Beach. She also teaches two high school colorguards and works at an ALL BODY inclusive pole & aerial studio called Fembody Fitness.

Angelica Munoz got an MSW from CSULB and works at a psychiatric hospital.

Rachael Maestro is in a paralegal certificate program at Cerritos City College and is hoping to get job with a law firm focusing on immigration, worker’s rights, or other social justice issues.
