boycott

This protest is a nationwide solidarity walkout organized by grassroots activists in protest of the hatred, misogyny, homophobia, and racism that Donald Trump and members of his team espouse would make policy. Marches are planned for 20 cities around the country, including Los Angeles, NYC, Washington DC, Houston, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Dolls, Boston, Jacksonville and others.

Organizers are calling on all who are able to take the day off work in protest and/or stop all spending for 24 hours, and if possible, join a local march.

LOS ANGELES EVENTS:

Pre-March Sign- and Art-making

Join Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE) for an afternoon of making political signs, posters, banners and flags in the wake of the election, and in anticipation of the Women’s marches on Washington and Los Angeles. There will be artist-activists on site to guide sign-making sessions. Come meet other artists and activists, share stories, slogans, and images. Look at historic political slogans and signs. Make signs for yourself or your friends to hold at upcoming protests and marches. We will have some supplies on site, but participants are encouraged and welcomed to bring their own materials too (markers, paper, cardboard, cardstock, etc.) The event is free and open to the public of all ages. Co-presented by Micol Hebron, Suzanne Wright, The Situation Room, Freewaves, Mónica Rodríguez, Angela Montijo, Jessie Gentry, Christy Roberts Berkowitz, Janeth Aparicio, and LACE.
