Breaking Fronteras:

presented by The Latino Student Union (LSU) of CSU Long Beach.

The Latino Student Union has seen a void in the support, resources, and accessibility for undocumented students not just on our campus but at a nation-wide level. We whole-heartedly support undocumented students from all walks of life, all social and cultural identities and know the power of their contribution to our society. We, composed of over 15 organizations, have garnered our resources to host this awesome event. The first of its kind within the CSU system, our aim is to raise funds to distribute scholarships to undocumented students across the state!

Registration will be $25 from October 10 to November 4th, 2016, after Nov. 4th it will increase to $30, that will include a medal for the first 25 winners, shirt, and snacks. Parking will be free and further information will be given a week before the event to inform you on what lots to park in the university. All proceeds will be put into a scholarship account and after a scholarship committee is set, will release prompt and due date for the scholarships. Ideally, the scholarships will be open to all CSU schools, if enough funds are raised. The event will be full of testimonies from undocumented students who have come out of the shadows, live band and dance performances, and local vendors. All age groups are welcomed!

$25 before 11/4/16
$30 starts 11/5/16
