Film Screening: Director Gennadi Sidorov’s 2003 film Old Women (Starukhi)

Description: Only a dozen elderly ladies and a man with Down syndrome live in a small Russian village. The villagers are virtually isolated; however, such isolation is interrupted by the arrival of a family of refugees, and the villagers do not provide a warm welcome.
