The interACT Performance Troupe: “Say What You Really Want To Say!”

The interACT Performance Troupe, under the direction of Dr. Marc D. Rich, will present the performance “Say What You Really Want To Say!” Following the performance, on and off campus panelists will discuss issues, such as bullying, LGBTIQ rights, the role of religion, etc.

The script was developed in the tradition of performance ethnography. In other words, it is derived entirely from the actual words and stories of CSULB students as they came to terms with homosexuality, homophobia, and Proposition 8. There will also be an interactive scene that draws on the work of performance activist Augusto Boal (Theatre of the Oppressed). The interACT Performance Troupe has been performing on campus, in the community, and throughout the United States since 2000.

All are welcome to attend.
