Dr. Kim Potowski Presents: Language and Social Justice in Northern Italy
November 19, 2013Dr. Kim Potowski, Associate Professor and Director of the Spanish Heritage Language Program at the University of Illiniois, Chicago, will be presenting Language and Social Justice in Northern Italy: The Education of Spanish-Speaking Immigrants on December 6.
This lecture is the first in a series of lectures that will be hosted by The College of Liberal Arts Intersections Initiative and the Departments of Anthropology; Linguistics; and Romance, German, Russian Languages & Literatures. These lectures will explore the intersections of language teaching, learning, and writing with the study of political movements and minority/disadvantaged groups.
