Stanford Anthropologist Tanya Marie Luhrmann will be speaking in the Anatol Center on Tuesday April 5th (starting at 5 PM). Dr. Luhrmann is the author of a number of important books including The Good Parsi: The Fate of a Colonial Elite in a Postcolonial Society (Harvard, 1998), Of Two Minds: An Anthropologist Looks at American Psychiatry (Vintage, 2001), and When God Talks Back: Understanding the American Evangelical Relationship with God (Vintage, 2012). Her talk Tuesday is entitled “Local Theory of Mind.” Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend!
