The Yokkaichi English Fellows Program (YEF) is an exclusive teaching opportunity for CSULB students to teach abroad in Japan for two years. Established 50 years ago, Long Beach and Yokkaichi have established a sister-city relationship with the mission to “create rapport between the cities by exchanging cultural, civic and educational ideas and issues to promote better understanding and friendship between the U.S. and Japan.” The YEF Program is an extension of the sister-city relationship. You are invited to come out and attend the first workshop of the Undocumented Professional Development Series, “Rights in California: Undocumented Immigrant Entrepreneurs.” We will have special guests from the California Immigrant Policy Center and the Long Beach Immigrant Rights’ Coalition presenting on California state policies, SB 1159 and AB 2184, which allows undocumented immigrants to obtain professional licenses and/or business licenses to start their own business.
