The “Manifesto for a Feminist Nationalism”. National and Gender Oppression in the Catalan

On behalf of the co-sponsoring departments, I would like to share an upcoming presentation that you or your students may be interested in. On Monday, March 11 11am-1pm, Dr. Júlia Ojeda Caba (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) will give a talk on national and gender oppression in the Catalan Countries, where she will also present her upcoming book Màtria o Barbàrie. 30 visions del feminisme català (‘Matriarchy or Barbarianism. 30 views of the Catalan feminism’), which gathers contributions from all Catalan Countries.

The session will include live Catalan songs by Dr. Adrià Martín-Mor (CSULB).

This talk is part of a series by Dr. Ojeda Caba and Dr. Martín-Mor, who will be participating in events at UCLA (with the Institut Ramon Llull), Page Against the Machine (Long Beach) and Santa Monica (with the Casal dels Catalans de Califòrnia).
