Dr. Christel Temple is professor of Africana Studies and an affiliate of the Graduate Program for Cultural Studies, the African Studies Program and the Critical European Culture Studies doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Temple is the author of several books including, Black Cultural Mythology, Transcendence and the Africana Literary Enterprise, and Literary Spaces:
Introduction to Comparative Black Literature. In addition, she is the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Black Studies.
