Adolfo Guzman-Lopez

Adolfo Guzman-Lopez has been a reporter at Southern California Public Radio (LAist 89.3) since 2000. He’s reported on education, politics, arts, and other topics. Currently, he reports on higher education. His awards include the Los Angeles Press Club’s “Radio Journalist of the Year.” His reports have also aired nationally on NPR, Marketplace, and have been published in the Washington Post and the Chicago Tribune. He was undocumented until he was 17 years old. He was born in Mexico City, grew up in Tijuana and San Diego.
