CARVINGBLOCK: Carvingblock, a creative agency dedicated to hospitality and communications whose clients include Amazon Studios and Coachella, seeks applicants for a social media internship. This paid internship involves brainstorming and developing campaign and content ideas in collaboration with the social media manager; helping to manage and curate content; and researching content requests, imagery, and influencer information, among other tasks. Interns will work Monday through Thursday, totaling 24 hours per week, with flexible working hours and remote work options. Global Sports & Entertainment: Global Sports & Entertainment, a Los Angeles based sports talent booking and event management firm, is seeking individuals with a superior knowledge of professional, mainstream sports (NFL, NBA, MLB,NHL, UFC, NASCAR etc.) as well as collegiate athletics for an internship as a sports and entertainment researcher. The firm is looking for candidates who eat, sleep, and breathe sports, are detail-oriented, fun to work with and have a sense of humor. Global Sports & Entertainment primarily with sports media, events, brands, and production companies to book guests for their programs and special events. As an intern, you will attend weekly meetings and will be asked to share your ideas about how to improve the product that we deliver to our clients. PBS SoCal: PBS SoCal KOCE, the home to PBS for Greater Los Angeles and Southern California, is seeking current college juniors, college seniors, or recent college graduate students who are interested in gaining experience supporting of PBS SoCal’s early learning projects, which include communications of its website and e-newsletters. The intern will support the early learning team at community events, parent workshops, and educator training; assist with communication of PBS SoCal Education events, activities and materials through social media, e-newsletters, and blogs; and assist with the website, promotional resources, and printed materials in connection to early learning. Lynwood Unified School District: The superintendent’s office of Lynwood Unified School District seeks applicants for a communications internship. This is a paid internship, requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week. This internship offers an opportunity to gain extensive experience in managing public relations, marketing, and social media campaigns within a large public agency. Applicants must currently be enrolled in — or recent graduates of — an accredited university, majoring in journalism, public relations, communications, or related fields. FYI Brand Group: FYI Brand Group is looking for a hard-working, go-getter who is able to thrive in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment with the skillset to manage multiple accounts. Based in Marina Dey Rey, the internship program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on public relations experience working within the firm’s music, lifestyle brands, social good and sports divisions. Corsino Real Estate: Intern in digital advertising. Corsino Real Estate is a real estate company with a robust online presence featuring video content on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. CSULB Shark Lab: The CSULB Shark Lab is seeking a passionate journalism or public relations student to join the team as its PR/social media intern for the fall semester. This intern will manage the Shark Lab’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube) and public relations responsibilities, including coordinating press coverage, creating promotional content, and following along to photograph fieldwork days or outreach events. Flaunt magazine: Flaunt magazine is seeking bright, motivated, and diligent interns with a strong work ethic to assist the Editorial and Production department. KLBP-FM: Under the supervision of the general manager, the journalism intern will assist with the creation and production of news and public affairs programming for KLBP, Long Beach Public Radio. Interns are expected to produce professional content under all appropriate FCC regulations and the Associated Press style guidelines. The station provides training and mentorship to help interns succeed. Responsibilities include researching and preparing content for on-air presentation, with 18 individual segments needing to air during the internship; tailoring content to multiple platforms such as blogs and social media; and participating with the KLBP “Street Team” to represent the station at community events. Our National Conversation: Our National Conversation seeks candidates for three internships: two are for public relations majors and one is for a journalism major. PICK6 Flag Football SoCal: PICK6 seeks a social media intern for this youth football league in San Pedro and surroundings communities.
