Olivo Amigo: Orange-based Olivo Amigo seeks a creative and detail-oriented marketing intern to help grow its newsletter and social media platforms. This person should understand social media platforms and their ever-changing trends. Inland Empire Utilities Agency: Are you interested in performing impactful community outreach, educating students and the public on the environment and water resources, preparing special events, and designing and developing outreach collateral for the region?  The Inland Empire Utilities Agency is seeking three interns. Two of the interns will focus on planning, implementing, and facilitating the agency’s Water Discovery Field Trip Program. This program provides an opportunity for members of the community to learn more about the environment and the importance of our natural resources. Interns will lead students through the Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park while facilitating various educational activities. Additionally, the agency is seeking a third intern who will focus on designing and developing graphics, videos, and other outreach materials. Interns earn between $16 and $21 per hour. HolistaPet: Located in the heart of Hollywood at the world-famous CNN building, HolistaPet is a pet wellness company founded with product lines for dogs, cats, and horses. HolistaPet plans to select two to three students for internships. These social media interns will support HolistaPet’s social media efforts by managing and curating content on various social media platforms, engaging with the audience, analyzing performance metrics, and assisting with the development of social media strategies to enhance the online presence and reach of the organization. Harbor Community Benefit Foundation: Based in San Pedro, the Harbor Community Benefit Foundation is seeking a motivated individual to assist staff with implementing HCBF’s organizational communications plan. This individual will work directly with staff and contracted consultants to ensure that our communications strategy highlights HCBF’s role as a valuable community asset in improving the quality of life for Port-adjacent communities, most impacted by the goods movement and port-related industries.  This internship requires a commitment of approximately 8 hours per week for 12 to 16 weeks. Kidsave: Kidsave is seeking highly motivated, dependable, and conscientious self-starters who are interested in pursuing a career in communications and marketing, particularly in the non-profit world. Kidsave’s innovative programs both in the United States and abroad give older kids in foster care a voice and a choice in who they get to know and who will ultimately become their forever family. The communications intern will work directly with the Communications and Development team on advocacy and media projects. Projects may include writing blog posts, conducting interviews of Kidsave kids and families to produce multimedia stories, creating social media designs and captions, and more. The successful candidate must have some writing experience outside of the classroom (creative blogging, school newspaper, etc.) and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and social media. Hollywood PAL: The Hollywood Police Activities League is in search of a talented student or recent grad who is interested in leveraging their passion for helping others within the world of videography and video content making. Hollywood PAL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to driving positive change within the community by partnering with LAPD and school-aged youth in programs that celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion and inspire personal excellence, social awareness, and civic engagement. Reporting directly to the marketing and communications director, the intern will be responsible for event and program videography, content development and helping with Hollywood PAL events and other marketing efforts. As a social media intern, you will assist in management of Alfred social media platforms, including posting, scheduling content, and community management. Claims Journal: Claims Journal and our other business news media outlets are seeking interns interested in journalism to support our newsgathering while learning about business reporting from experienced editors. As an intern, you will write assigned briefs, as well as interview subject-matter experts, attorneys, and business executives for deadline stories. The Junior Graphic Design Intern is responsible supporting the design team in the process of designing both print and digital materials for internal company branding and external marketing tactics. PADNET: The Public Access Digital Network (PADNET) is Long Beach’s community media center and public access television station (Spectrum 32 / Frontier 41). PADNET interns become serve as production assistants. PADNET trains interns in all aspects of studio and field production, from set design to lighting to audio. Interns also have a lot of post-production responsibilities, which include logging, transcribing and converting files.
