Live Nation’s Emo Nite is looking for a highly motivated and proactive intern to join the marketing team in Calabasas. The Young Turks: TYT Network’s Unpaid Internship Program provides a learning opportunity for individuals interested in careers in digital media, social media, and politics. As a communications intern, you will work closely with JetZero’s marketing and communications team, focusing on internal communications and event management. mxdwn: mxdwn, an entertainment news site, is looking for a ooking for a passionate writer with strong and varied interests in the video game industry and community. As an intern, you would be expected to keep up to date with what’s going on in the gaming industry. Writers are encouraged to go out and find the news that is relevant, fresh, and interesting to a broad gaming audience. They also are expected to be able to research, source information, and then convey that news in a well-structured, engaging article. From releases from the world’s top developers to the surprise hit indie titles, nothing is off limits for mxdwn writers. Internships are unpaid. Interns are trained and supervised by members of the mxdwn staff. KLBP FM: Under the supervision of the general manager, the journalism intern will assist with the creation and production of news and public affairs programming for KLBP, Long Beach Public Radio. Interns are expected to produce professional content under all appropriate FCC regulations and the Associated Press style guidelines. The station provides training and mentorship to help interns succeed. Los Angeles magazineLos Angeles magazine is looking for detail-oriented, thorough, resourceful, intuitive, and determined self-starter students with excellent communication skills to intern in its editorial department. Responsibilities include fact-checking, conducting research, and submitting story ideas with the possibility of writing them. Fact-checking is not always as easy as it sounds. You may need to contact the celebrity of the moment or outwit a word-savvy politician. In researching subjects, you’d work directly with writers and editors in putting stories together (which may include doing some reporting). You would also learn to use online services, pull court documents or locate hard-to-find sources… within minutes. In addition, you’ll see how a magazine is put together from story conception to newsstand. My Data Machine: Based in Santa Monica, My Data Machine is a data services company specializing in Fashion AI. San Diego Museum of Art: The Carolyn Wolf Summer Internship is named after former Museum Docent Carolyn Wolf, who was passionate about education and creating opportunities for students and those interested in museum work. The internship is a 10-week paid position, and the museum’s only paid internship. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and contribute to the museum’s educational initiatives. PADNET: The Public Access Digital Network (PADNET) is Long Beach’s community media center and public access television station (Spectrum 32 / Frontier 41).
