Marcello Sawyer

Marcello Sawyer, a Whittier College alum, is the Talent Acquisition Manager for LAist. His focus is leading recruitment and developing meaningful relationships. He is passionate about the impact LAist makes; and, has a deep personal interest in the organization’s DEI actions. Among his proudest professional achievements was transforming American Public Media Group’s (APMG) corporate sponsorships with NABJ, AAJA, and NAHJ into thriving relationships with the local chapters and being a co-founder of the Think Public Media initiative, a 30+ organization collaborative aimed at increasing diversity within public media.
