This program will take place on Nov. 18, 2021, from 5:00-7 PM. This event is part of the efforts of the Spanish Graduate Student Association to bring graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to learn about women writers from Latin America and their unique approach to open a space for new literary identities.
Dr. Guerra is an internationally recognized feminist critic and novelist and the author: “La mujer fragmentada” a groundbreaking text on Feminist criticism which received the Casa de Las América Prize (1994), the most distinguished literary award in Latin America. In 2013 she was again recognized with the award for her book La ciudad ajena: Subjetividades de origen mapuche en el espacio urbano about indigenous poetry.
