One Hundred Years of Pasolini: A Transnational Gathering Of Critical Voices

Quite often, the day of the death of famous authors is commemorated more frequently than their birthday. In Pier Paolo Pasolini’s case, his shocking murder in 1975 took center stage in the narrative of his biography, this final moment somehow eclipsing his life’s beginning on March 5^th, 1922. Yet, Pasolini’s works are the product of his life, of his “desperate vitality” that began on that fateful date. To honor this, and to celebrate Pasolini’s 100^th birthday, Dr. Francesco Chianese and The Graziadio Center have organized a one-day symposium entitled: One Hundred Years of Pasolini: A Transnational Gathering of Critical Voices.
