German Without Borders: OER and the Future of Language-Learning Materials

Concerned about textbook costs? Interested in reducing barriers to learning? Want to learn another language? Dr. Brigetta Abel of Macalester College will present on open educational resources (OER) for learning languages as well as the specific case study of the free, multi-media curriculum that she co-authored for German titled Grenzenlos Deutsch. Join us at 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 5th, in LA4-120. The title of her talk is “German Without Borders: OER and the Future of Language-Learning Materials.” The event is sponsored by a CLA Scholarly Intersections grant and a Deutsch macht Spaß grant from the American Association of Teachers of German.
