Drop-In Advising
Attention CLA First-Time, First-Years (Freshmen)!

What is Drop-in Advising?
Drop-in advising is a quick way to speak with an ATLAS advisor. Advising occurs via phone or in person – check the drop-in schedule for details. Zoom is available upon request. Sign into the queue during drop-in hours to get started – view instructions below.
Drop-in Advising is intended for the following:
- All First-Time, First-Years in any CLA Department
- Pre-Majors in any CLA Department (ex: Pre-American Studies)
- Any CLA student referred to ATLAS
- Majors Whose Primary Advisor is ATLAS
*Continuing and transfer students majoring in CLA, see your primary advisor for assistance.

Drop-in Advising Instructions
During posted Drop-in Advising Hours:
- Log into your Single Sign-On & click on the Beach Connect App
- Click on the Get Assistance button
- Click on View Drop-In Times link
- Select the following options when prompted:
- Type: Academic Advising
- Service: Quick Question
- Location: College of Liberal Arts Advising Center - ATLAS
- Click Drop-in Online to join the queue
- An advisor will call you via your preferred phone number on MyCSULB.Make sure your preferred phone number is up-to-date!

During posted Drop-in Advising Hours:
- Visit our office in LA1-LO0102 (the building in front of the Library)
- Check in at the front desk with your name and student ID number
- Come prepared with your questions and/or a list of classes you’d like to take
Note: If you are ill, please select a virtual advising option instead
Attend Drop-In Advising during the listed hours:
- Monday, 3/18: 2 - 4pm (Virtual & In-Person)
- Tuesday, 3/19: 10 - 11:30am (Virtual & In-Person)
- Wednesday, 3/20: 9 - 11am (Virtual & In-Person)
- Thursday, 3/21: 2 - 4pm (Virtual & In-Person)
- Friday, 3/22: 9 - 11am (Virtual Only)
